DP Russell Carpenter used a twin-camera native 3D rig. The modular system comprised two Sony Venice cameras. He used the 2500 ISO setting and a 270-degree shutter to work at lower light levels without compromising image quality. The extra exposure also helped offset the 2 stop loss from shooting at 48fps through the 3D camera's beam splitter.
Russel Carpenter: "We separated the lens block and the sensor from all the processing that the camera did. We basically split it in two. Only the lenses and the sensor are actually in the 3-D system, then you have a cable that runs off to the rest of it, which the operator usually carried on his back."

The VENICE camera is Sony's first full-frame sensor high-end digital cinematography camera. It is unmatched in the Sony range for the wide array of recording formats it supports, and features Dual Base ISO 500/ISO 2500.

This Sony Venice is meant to provide you with just the amount of camera you need, so you don't have to invest in more than necessary. It features a full-frame CMOS sensor with 15+ stops of dynamic range, but in its basic configuration it windows the sensor to shoot Super 35. The camera comes with a removable PL Mount that supports the Cooke /i Technology lens metadata protocols.

Fujinon MK

Fujinon MK

MK series achieves high optical performance and low distortion with T2.9 speed across the entire zoom range. With MK50-135mm, it covers standard 18 to 135mm focal length for cinema production. Super 35mm / APS-C sensor compatibility and E-mount dedicated design have led to an ultra-compact & less than 1kg lightweight body, and excellent cost performance. It suppresses focus shift and optical axis shift while zooming and lens breathing. Also, it features three fully manual lens rings for focus, zoom, and iris with 0.8M gear pitch and a 200° focus rotation angle for sophisticated operability.

ZK2.5x14 is a wide angle zoom lens with a focal length covering from 14 to 35mm.Thanks to the detachable servo drive unit on the ZK series, the lens can be operated in the same manner as a traditional broadcast ENG-Style lens and accessories. Furthermore, with the servo drive unit removed, traditional cinema manual, or external cine motors for zooming and focusing operation is also available for all models of this series.

With the latest optical simulation technology and high precision large diameter aspherical elements, it has achieved both high optical performance and a lightweight compact body of 2.9kg. Thanks to high resolution from the center to corner, high image quality without image distortion will be exhibited on the large screens of movie theaters.
