DP Chayse Irvin shot with the Sony Venice in 6K and with the Alexa in 2.8K ArriRaw. He graded dailies on the camera truck and sent the DaVinci Resolve files to Benny Estrada, who applied LiveGrain and halation until they got desired look. Chayse Irvin: "Once we figured out a rhythm, Benny took that over. As we shot, we'd indicate on the slate what we intended the framing to be, the aspect ratio, and the LUT, and the EFilm team did an incredible job keeping track."

Arri Alexa XT

Arri Alexa XT

The smallest and most advanced ALEXA XT camera

The ALEXA XT delivers exceptional image performance, efficient and versatile workflows, simple and safe operation and an open, future-proof architecture.

Faster, lighter and more affordable ARRIRAW

The XR Module allows in-camera ARRIRAW recording up to 120 fps onto exceptionally fast and rugged 512 GB XR Capture Drives. This not only makes for a smaller and lighter camera package, it also simplifies setup and operation while avoiding unnecessary cabling. The result is an even faster and more reliable way to record ARRIRAW, ALEXA’s highest quality image output. The Single Dock USB3 allows safe copying of this data to a Retina MacBook Pro, and the Dual Dock can make clones of XR Capture Drives and connect to a Mac Pro via SAS (Serial Attached SCSI) for high speed copying.

LENSES

Panavision Primo

Panavision Primo

Panavision Primo V lenses have been specifically designed for use with 35mm-format digital cameras, delivering the classic Primo look for modern digital sensors.

Panavision Panaspeed

Panavision Panaspeed

The Panaspeed lens series is a high speed, large-format companion to the Primo-L series of optics. Sharing many of the same traits – such as excellent veiling glare resistance, a blend of technical aberration correction, and the introduction of artistic nuances in the form of select aberration inclusion – the Panaspeeds also incorporate improved features including no blue line, better close focus, anti-breathing control, faster aperture, and greater field illumination. At T/1.4, these lenses are the fastest optics available for large-format cinematography. Panaspeeds are compatible with film and digital 35mm and full-frame cameras equipped with SP70 mounts.
