DP Karl-Walter Lindenlaub is satisfied to see how many of his ideas were implemented, including contrasting monochromatic and complementary color palettes, shooting with Arri Signature Primes and Alexa LF cameras, and framing for 2:1 — an aspect ratio Lindenlaub felt "would feel more cinematic than 1.78:1 to capture the huge scope of the Halo world".

Arri Alexa LF
Featuring a sensor slightly larger than full frame, the ALEXA LF camera records native 4.5K with ARRI’s best overall image quality. This allows filmmakers to explore the immersive large-format aesthetic while retaining the sensor’s natural colorimetry, pleasing skin tones and stunning capability for HDR workflows. Versatile recording formats, including efficient ProRes and uncompressed, unencrypted ARRIRAW up to 150 fps, encompass all on-set workflow requirements.
Blackmagic Pocket Cine 6K
The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera has professional features allowing you to create the same "look" as Hollywood feature films. The combination of high dynamic range, great low light performance and Blackmagic RAW gives you feature film images with precise skin tones and gorgeous organic colors.
You get advanced features such as 4K, 6K G2 or 6K Pro models, large 5" LCD for easy focus, SD card and CFast media, external USB-C media disk recording, EF or MFT lens mounts and more. DaVinci Resolve Studio is also included for editing, color correction, audio post and VFX.
Made from lightweight carbon fiber polycarbonate composite, the camera features a multifunction handgrip with all controls for recording, ISO, WB and shutter angle right at your fingertips. Because it's an advanced digital film camera, the sensor is designed to reduce thermal noise allowing cleaner shadows and higher ISO. Plus the large 5 inch LCD makes it possible to get perfect focus at 4K and 6K resolutions. You also get a removable battery door, 4 shock proof microphones, heavy duty lens mount and built in speaker.
The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro includes more pro features such as built in 2, 4 and 6 stop motorized ND filters with selectable ND, stop reduction or fraction settings shown on the display. As well as a super bright 1500 nit HDR screen making it ideal for use in bright sunlight.
LENSES
Arri Signature
Ranging from 12mm to 280mm, the ARRI Signature Prime lenses offer a unique look never seen before in cinema. Warm, smooth skin; open shadows with crisp blacks; and bokeh like looking through a window in the rain. The timeless look of Signature Primes will never go out of style.
Constructed with magnesium housings and aluminum gear rings, each Signature Prime is lightweight, water-resistant, and features focus marks in feet. Anti-reflective coatings, light baffles, and light traps help to minimize any internal barrel flare.
Venus Optics Laowa Zero-D
Featuring the widest angle of view (122°) ever offered from a f/2.8 lens, this 12mm lens is a perfect choice for a wide variety of shooting situations.
The lens is the lightest and most compact lens in its class. It also features close-to-zero optical distortion, allowing cinematographers to shoot landscape/architecture shots with straight lines retained. The exclusive water and dust repelling “Frog Eye Coating” is added to the front element of the lens.
For maximum creativity, you can use CPL or ND filters by adding an optional Laowa 100mm filter holder system.

Arri DNA
DNA is a completely new concept in lens development, pioneered by ARRI Rental in collaboration with visually ambitious cinematographers. Sourcing vintage optics from different historical periods, we embrace unusual image attributes that arouse an emotional response.
Selected optics are rehoused into modern lens casings, with the manufacturing carried out in-house at ARRI Rental. Each lens has its own personality, often customized for individual filmmakers, allowing stories to be told with a new visual boldness.
