To give the camerawork a light feel DP Ksenia Sereda operated a handheld Arri Alexa Mini with Cooke S4/i prime lenses, in a configuration she calls 'Backpack Mode'. As Sereda explains: "We took everything that is possible off the camera — batteries and antennas — and everything went in a backpack." This backpack was carried by dolly grip Paul Sheridan, so the operator only had the camera with a lens and a monitor in their hands, or on the shoulder.

Cooke S4 Prime

The 50mm S4/i T2 Prime Lens from Cooke features optimal optical performance, /i Technology lens data transfer, and an ergonomic mechanical design with smooth, cam-based focus adjustments. This 50mm lens incorporates an aperture range of T2.0 to T22, focus scales marked in both feet and meters, and color matching with other modern Cooke cine-style lenses. The S4/i lenses minimize flare, distortion, veiling glare, and spherical aberrations even at the full aperture setting. The S4/i lenses are PL-mounted, making them compatible with most professional cine-style cameras.
